We service many HVAC brands regardless of who originally installed the equipment. We do not service oil systems. For ductless mini-split service, we work on Mitsubishi, Daikin, Trane, and Carrier systems.
Boone may be known for cool mountain air, but a warm, humid summer afternoon can still make a failing air conditioner pretty obvious.
We provide AC repair in Boone, NC for systems that are blowing warm air, running constantly, making unusual noises, cycling improperly, or simply failing to keep up. If your system is aging or repair costs no longer make sense, we can also help you compare high-efficiency AC replacement options.
This includes homes and businesses around Downtown Boone, Appalachian State, Boone Mall, New Market Centre, and the commercial areas along Blowing Rock Road. Boone Mall is located at 1180 Blowing Rock Road, while New Market Centre is one of several established shopping areas outside downtown.
A heating problem carries a little more urgency at mountain elevation.
Our technicians diagnose and repair furnaces throughout Boone and surrounding communities. If your furnace is blowing cool air, short cycling, struggling to reach the thermostat setting, or becoming increasingly expensive to repair, we can determine what is causing the problem and explain your options clearly.
We also install replacement heating systems for older mountain homes, remodeled properties, commercial spaces, and newer construction.
Heat pumps are a common fit for homes in the High Country because one system can provide both heating and cooling.
Boone’s changing temperatures can make proper system sizing and setup especially important. We repair, maintain, and install heat pump systems and can help homeowners compare repair costs with the long-term value of a newer high-efficiency system.
For replacement projects, our goal is not to sell you more equipment than your property needs. It is to install a system designed to handle the actual heating and cooling demands of the building.
Ductless HVAC can be a practical option for Boone cabins, additions, finished basements, older homes without convenient ductwork, and rooms that are difficult to keep comfortable.
Mountaineer Heating & Cooling installs ductless systems and services Mitsubishi, Daikin, Trane, and Carrier mini-splits.
We also provide geothermal installation, repair, and maintenance. Mountaineer has provided geothermal services in the Boone area for decades and works with WaterFurnace equipment.
Mountain weather has a habit of changing its mind.
A sunny afternoon can turn into a cold night quickly, which makes spring and fall good times to make sure your heating and cooling equipment is ready for the next season.
Our maintenance services can help identify worn components, airflow problems, dirty equipment, and other concerns before peak heating or cooling demand arrives. Maintenance plans also include benefits such as priority scheduling, repair and accessory discounts, and after-hours access to the on-call team.
Boone has an unusual mix of property types. Our team works with year-round homes, mountain cabins, second homes, student rentals, commercial buildings, remodeled properties, and new construction.
